The fifth anniversary of Zdzisław Beksiński’s tragic death has come. As I promised some time ago, I want to commemorate it by providing countless fans of the Master all over the world with access to several hundred works by the artist, which have not been published yet. Taking the opportunity of extending my website on such a large scale, I am changing the name from “Gallery A. Zdzisław Beksiński” to “The Virtual Museum of Zdzisław Beksiński”. I suggest that you start a visit in it by reading “The Museum Guidebook”, which explains the whole idea and lets a visitor figure out where he or she may find the elements they are interested in. For people who do not know much about Beksiński and who are curious about his life and works, I propose reading the text of “The Introduction to the Museum”, written by Anna Kania Saj, which is available in the Polish version of my website. The French and English version is accompanied by another text, written by Tadeusz Nyczek. Waiting for the translation, in the meantime I am publishing the english text in the German version of website. I also invite Polish guests to refer to “Library” and read a few excerpts of Beksiński’s diary and his talks with close relatives and friends, which have been written down. Also the section devoted to “Memories” has been enriched – I show there a number of unknown personal photographs of the Master from different periods of his life.
I will be very grateful for the guests’ remarks concerning any omissions or mistakes that I might have made in the Museum Piotr Dmochowski 17.01.2010, 18:11
Warning : false works of Beksinski!
De : Sara Envoyé : dimanche 17 janvier 2010 16:30 À : p.dmochowski@noos.fr Objet : Beksinski - request for advice Dear Mr. Dmochowski, I am a great admirer of Beksinki's work. I've found your invaluable and well structured website about him only recently, and I appreciate your detailed accounts and tremendous efforts very much. I am wondering if you could give me your advice about this "Beksinski Graphic Art Print SIGNED by the great Artist himslef!! (certificate will be supplied)." I've bought this print on ebay from Ms....., a seller in Manchester, UK, who upon request and prior to me buying it supplied me with this certificate (below). The artwork was sent to me from 11-041 Oliztyn, Poland. Although I love this piece, I am somewhat uneasy about its authenticity. Not so much about the painting itself because it does emanate the kind of unique genius that only Beksinski was able to portray, although I have never seen this particular sujet anywhere in books or online. And also, if there were an artist around who could paint of such quality, why would he not pursue his own career. I was therefore wondering if you know about this painting and whether it is indeed from the master's hand (its original). My second point is of course the signature. I was unable to locate the company FINE PRINTS ART of Staten Island, NY, online. That by itself isn't necessarily alarming because things change fast in the United States, particularly in this economy. But still, are you familiar with them? The certificate states that the print was signed by the artist in Chorzow, Poland in 2003. About the signature on my print: I compared it with two other signatures that I happen to have: One is on this giclée print (14/150), which I bought from Morpheus Fine Arts a number of years ago: And with another one that's in my copy of the book The Fantastic Art of Beksinski (Warsaw, Poland 1998) that he signed "AP/150 Beksinski." Both signatures compare very well with the one on my latest acquisition, with minor differences that are normal when one signs ones name. And finally, was it "normal" that Beksinski would sign his name under a print without the number of edition (such as 14/150)? I would truly appreciate your response very much. I look forward to your reply, and wish you an inspiring 2010 ! sara --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Madame, That is not a painting but photomontage made by Beksinski on the computer. Beksinski has put many of his photomontages on line for evry one who wants to print them from the computer, without any cost. The signature on the certificat is false as the whole certificat is false. (By the way : Beksinski never have been in Chorzow). In few weeks you will find on my site 140 of theese photomontages of Beksinski. You will by able to reproduce them all without paying any singel dollar to anybody. As for the giclée it is fals too. I have this painting in my collection and never gave the autorisation to anybody to make a giclée from it. Nor did Beksinski. Yours Piotr Dmochowski 11.11.2009, 22:07
I am showing my two favorite modern architects today, Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid, which will be a definite surprise to my visitors. They are ultra vanguard and their works are situated on the antipodes of the art I usually popularize in my online gallery.
My point is, however, to familiarize my young visitors (as young people represent the vast majority of visitors to my gallery) with the best of architecture, to the same extent as I have been trying to show what is the best in today’s painting, photography, sculpture and scenic dance expression. So …welcome to the architects exhibition. 27.04.2009, 11:10
You are welcome, my guest. If you want to spend a few moments with Zdzisław Beksiński’s works, click „Gallery A – Zdzisław Beksiński”. However, if you are interested in other artists, whom I hold in high esteem and whose production I would like to show you, click „Gallery B – other artists”.
In this tour around the intricacies of my small museum, I wish you the same wonderful aesthetic emotions that I experience when looking at those remarkable masterpieces. 19.04.2009, 21:51
Remaining faithful to strong expression in art., today I invite you to view an exhibition of a few brilliant young French artists, belonging to „Peintres de l’agonie” („The painters of agony”) group. Thank you in advance for any comments, which, if positive, will make me organise another exhibition of other equally brilliant artists of this group.

My guests, who for a long time have had many opportunities to get an idea of what my artistic tastes are like, as the whole gallery is inspired by a “grave”, gloomy and ominous spirit, will probably be surprised to discover how nostalgia and reflection are close to me. That is why today I am showing an artist whose photographs remind me of my childhood, Poland and poetry-filled landscapes. Ms Baturo enchanted me with her works, which I had discovered by a fortunate chance. So today I want to share them with you.

9 XI 2008
One of the people I correspond with has reminded me today of an idea I had some time ago, which I communicated to a few people, namely my intention to organise an exhibition of young artists influenced by Beksiński. The project aroused a lot of interest among the fans of our Genius, but the works that I was proposed to show varied in quality. That is why I gave up the idea, or rather “suspended “it. Today I come to the conclusion that after all such an exhibition would make sense, provided that I warn the guests of my gallery (which I am doing right not), that I do not make any choices and only give space to those who are inspired by the Master, without judging the quality of their works. That is why I invite all young (and less young) artists who feel this aesthetic unity to send a CD with their works to my address. Please, send those works which you consider the best and the closest to the spirit of Beksiński, and attach your personal data (surname, name, age, postal address, e-mail or telephone). This way I would like to give some of you an opportunity to compare with each other and meet in a place dedicated to the greatest painter ever. I also want the circle of Beksiński’s fans to become bigger and its bonds tightened. The official art and French, Polish or American cultural establishment combat and marginalize the fantasy art. In this modest way I would like to help those who are rejected by museums, galleries, auction houses and magazines, sharing with them the space where they may show their works to a wider audience at least for a short period of time. My gallery is visited by about 150-200 people every day. It may then turn out that thanks to this exhibition the works of one or another artist will be noticed, leaving the land of anonymity. Who knows? Finally, I would like to appeal to my guests with a facetious paraphrase of the last sentence of “The Communist Manifest”: “Beksiński’s fans of the World, Unite!” Here I give my address for you to send CDs with two works. Make sure that the resolution of the pictures is good enough so that my IT specialist will have no problems with them. Please, remember to enclose your personal data. Please, send your works ONLY BY ORDINARY MAIL. BY NO MEANS USE THE REGISTERED MAIL. Piotr Dmochowski 5, square des Montferrants 78160 Marly le Roi, Francja. 02.11.2008, 21:10
I cordially invite all the fans of Beksiński to spread information about him and to encourage their friends and acquaintances to view the websites devoted to the artist, including mine.
23.09.2008, 21:14
I know that few of my guests use “slideshow”. It’s a pity because this option is the best and most convenient form of viewing, which at the same time allows having a closer look at a painting. I fervently encourage you to try it.
10.09.2008, 12:20
For a long time I have wanted to arrange an exhibition for Franek Starowieyski, whom I consider one of the greatest Polish living artists. So I cordially invite all the guests who share my opinion, but also those who have not had an opportunity to become acquainted with his works, and in consequence – appreciate his talent.
08.07.2008, 21:09
Today I am showing abstract sculptures and reliefs by Beksiński from the period 1955-1960. I am sorry for the poor quality of reproduction. This is because of my photographer, Michał Glinicki, who made an awful botch of his job.
25.06.2008, 12:22
I invite all young painters to my "film library". Today I am publishing seven short films shot by Beksiński himself, in which he showed how he painted pictures. For all those interested in his art this is an interesting document, which will allow them to get closer to the gist of mystery surrounding the artist. Beskiński's comments for these films will certainly be a precious lesson of painting for young artists. I also recommend my commentary which accompanies the films.

At last the technology allows me to place films and reports on Beksiński in my internet gallery.
I would like to start with a 20-minute film “Hommage à Beksinski”, which I put in “film library” column. Beside the film there is a short commentary and quite large correspondence which I exchanged with Beksiński. With time the “film library” will be supplemented with further materials, interviews and short reports about the Master. I would like to mention that for the time being the quality of picture on the computer screen is rather poor – unclear and blurred. Certainly in near future my technician will make some corrections so that the picture on the computer’s screen will be as sharp as that at the cinema. Considering the deep conflict over this film between Beksiński and me, which is reflected in the correspondence I placed with the film, I would like to thank in advance for any comments in the blog or in the golden book. 28.04.2008, 12:35
Another message for the fans of Beksiński
As Beksiński kept listening to classical music and could not work without it, today in “Record collection” column I am publishing excerpts of the concert of Schnittke, a Russian composer, the works of which Beksiński considered closest to his music tastes. For those who remain fascinated by our Genius, this will be one more element helping to understand his internal world. 24.12.2007, 16:42
Today I am exhibiting an expressive French sculptor of a middle generation, Marc Petit, whose six busts of old men I discovered at a collective exhibition in the monastery in Auberive. They greatly impressed me.
Far from limiting his activities to art, Marc Petit is also an organiser of biennale in a small town near Limoges, near his place of residence. So I went to the other end of France, trying to combine the two things – visit the artist’s atelier and the above mentioned biennale. And I do not regret it as I found that this man was a great sculptor, and during the biennale I discovered a number of French artists belonging to the expressive trend – the artists whom I had not known before and who made the distance of 500km I had covered to see their works a worthwhile effort. I am sure I will come back to these artists and exhibit some of them. Taking the opportunity I wish the guests to my internet gallery Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Piotr Dmochowski 18.10.2007, 11:06
A message for Beksiński’s fans:
I have extended my gallery with another column “Record Collection” (distinct from the already existing columns “Library” and “Film Collection”). For the time being it contains twenty two hours of recordings of my talks with Beksiński. Actually I recorded over one hundred talks, but at the moment I am publishing only part of them to find out if this kind of publication would interest the guests. 18th October 2007 08.04.2007, 13:27
2nd June 2007
I wish to inform all the visitors to my internet gallery that throughout this summer, from 30th June to the end of September, I am going to exhibit 42 paintings, including 20 pictures by Beksiński and 22 by other Polish (Szajna, Starowieyski, Stasys, Walczak, Wieczorek, Wiśniewski, Morawetz, Szurek, Szalek), Bulgarian (Svetlin Russev) and Czech artists (Anderle) in abbaye d”Auberive (see www.abbaye-auberive.com, address: Place de l’Abbaye, 52160 Auberive, tel. 03 25 84 20 20, e-mail: contact@abbayer-auberive. com) The exhibition is organised by a French businessman, Jaen-Claude VOLOT, the owner of the former monastery of the Cistercians, which he transformed into a beautiful cultural centre. The interiors are really impressive. Every year he shows there the works of the artists he likes and organises classical music concerts. This year, beside my collection, American graffiti and tag specialists will be exhibited. Some visitors to my website ask me where they can see Beksiński’s paintings in France. I handed over 50 paintings to the Museum of Beksiński in Częstochow but I still have enough works to organise an exhibition in Paris. However, I will do it only when I have made sure that there will be a sufficient number of visitors. Therefore, I ask all the Parisian fans of Beksiński to inform me of their possible visit by sending an e-mail with their data, so that I can send them invitations. If the number of messages augers well for the exhibition, I will take steps to organise it. Piotr Dmochowski 20.02.2007, 11:41
On the second anniversary of Beksiński’s death I would like to acquaint his fans with the photographs he took in his youth, that is in the 1950s.
Taking the opportunity I would like to encourage the viewers to use „slideshow” function, which is the most convenient form of viewing the works. At the same time, in the “library” column I am publishing the documentation connected with my 24-year attempts to make the artist’s masterpieces popular. February 2007 Piotr Dmochowski 09.11.2006, 20:33
I inform all personne interested by Beksinski and his work that his murderer, Robert Kupiec, was condemn today to 25 years of prison and his aaccomplice, Lukasz Kupuiec to 5 years by the court of Warszaw. They will probably appel.
